2013 Residential Energy Efficiency Awards

By Sanyu Kyeyune

We started the Residential Energy Efficiency Awards five years ago to recognize the efforts of those who have successfully leveraged government funds to make U.S. homes healthier, more durable, and more efficient.

These are the stories of the men and women who have put their hearts and minds into finding solutions to our country’s energy problems—starting in their own communities. We commend their hard work and dedication, and we hope you are as inspired as we are by their acts of innovation, leadership, and creativity.

This year’s winners have raised the bar for residential energy efficiency by developing new models for investment, identifying sustainable revenue streams, designing incredibly healthy buildings, and training the workforce that will impact energy efficiency now and in the future. Here’s how they did it.
